Deep and dark is the dangerous path
to Aldwythe's Landing. Long is the way,
and the gate is grim, a gaping maw.
But within the walls awaits a wonder:
the shadow of Cory shelters the city;
the World Mover watches over it.
In pleasant parks the people wander;
the laughter of children lightens the air.
But tales are told of the Tower of Cory,
a place of peril and prisoners lurking. – Topaz the Poet |
